Good food, good prices. Came in clutch on a work trip in a town I've never been. Check them out, order the fish n chips!

I was driving thru Fresno and saw the signs on the 99 fwy, for a $9.99 tri-tip sandwich. When I got here I realized it was formerly the Anderson Pea Soup restaurant. Also the name recently changed to Legends Tap and Grill.
So I ordered the tri-tip sandwich and a bowl of Spilt pea soup, just to see if it's the same. The tri-tip was kinda plain. Just meat with BBQ sauce in a French roll. The split pea soup was disappointing, not as creamy as Anderson's. Almost dry and very thick almost like a paste.
So as a warning to travelers wanting to have the Anderson's Split Pea Soup, this is not the place. You may have to go to Solvang or Santa Nella to get the authentic Split Pea Soup. -

Okay, if I were writing this about the staff, I'd give it a 4; great service and they stopped by the table twice while eating to check on us. I didn't like that my cup of coffee was removed from the table for a refill - I mean he walked away with it into the back! If it was for the breakfast food, I'd give it a 4. My hubby and I actually enjoyed most of the food we ate. Hubby ordered a ham only omelette with hash browns and an English muffin. The omelette cooked well and was filled with ham! The hash browns, while they were crispy, were drowning in oil. Yuck! I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, their potatoes, and an English muffin. Again, my eggs were cooked perfectly as well as the bacon. My potatoes were dried out, but were better than those oily hash browns.
For the building itself it's a 2. The furniture is old, and some of the walls need a fresh coat of paint - you can see the paint patches that don't match. The grossest part of the building was seeing all of the dust and dead bugs on the windowsill. The first inch or so is cleaned as well as the wooden dividers between the booths, but there's no reason someone can't pull up the blinds once a week to vacuum and wipe down the ledges which are at eye level.
Overall, I'd return but ask to sit away from a window if possible. I saw other people's orders, and you can get lunch food during breakfast. -

Interesting spot in Selma. Came in here and it was about 45 minutes until closing with a minimum of 10 people dining. This was probably on of the longest wait for service and water. I ordered the 1/2 "Nelson" Burger and it was one of the biggest I've had. Unfortunately they forgot my lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. I just thought it was odd how the waitress asked me if I wanted everything and I replied with yes everything and extra pickles with a side of bbq sauce. She comes with mustard and ranch? I understand it's almost closing time everyone wants to go home so I patiently waited and asked nicely for their service. Overall I have to say the burger was super meaty and yummy. I really enjoyed the burger after a long day of work.

After the remodel the place looks great. It's a upgrade all the way around. The revamped menu is good as well. Happy Hour all day for the games is great for the 24 taps cant go wrong.
